Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio (WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semifinals)

Roman Reigns and United States Champion Alberto Del Rio will face off in the semifinal round of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament this Sunday at Survivor Series, with the winner advancing the tournament final — and the opportunity of a lifetime — later that night.
For Reigns, a victory against Del Rio would secure him a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match for the second time in recent memory. The Big Dog originally earned No. 1 contender status on the Oct. 26 edition of Raw, when he came out on top in a Fatal 4-Way Match. Yet, his title match against champion Seth Rollins was canceled after The Architect suffered a major knee injury and had to forfeit the championship. Reigns was then offered a golden chance to be fast-tracked to the tournament final by WWE COO Triple H, but he refused to “play ball” with The Authority in exchange for the free ride.
In turn, Reigns’ path to the semifinals has been anything but easy. He scraped past The World’s Largest Athlete, Big Show, in round one, and overcame a tough challenge from Cesaro in round two.
Since returning to WWE by surprise at Hell in a Cell, where he reappeared alongside Zeb Colter and ended John Cena’s U.S. Championship reign, Del Rio has appeared virtually unstoppable. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion advanced to the tournament semifinals with wins over Stardust in round one and The Lucha Dragons’ Kalisto in round two.
Which Superstar will have the edge this Sunday in Atlanta at Survivor Series? Will the U.S. Champion’s dangerous strikes and flawless submission game propel him to a WWE World Heavyweight Title Match? Or will Reigns — who came within a hair of winning WWE’s top prize from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 — Superman Punch and Spear his way to the final?
Watch this all-important tournament clash at Survivor Series, airing live this Sunday, only on the award-winning WWE Network

Melissa Joan Hart explains it 'Raw' about Kevin Owens on Twitter

Social media exploded on Monday evening as Kevin Owens and television star Melissa Joan Hart engaged in a war of words on Twitter. The beef resulted in Hart being subsequently blocked by Owens on the social media site, as well as the Raw announce team bringing the situation to the surface during Owens' WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Match.

SmackDown results, Nov. 5, 2015: Kevin Owens acted his way to a victory over Dean Ambrose while The Wyatt Family demonstrated true Survival skills

Prior to United States Champion Alberto Del Rio’s match against Neville, he and Zeb Colter explained why there is no room for haters in MexAmerica – a notion that they were striving to rise above.
In the match that followed, while it looked for a moment as if Neville might hit the Red Arrow on Del Rio, the Essence of Excellence managed to turn the tables, trapping him upside down in the ropes, before leaping off the top rope and stomping down onto his opponent with both feet for the victory.
When Del Rio locked The Man That Gravity Forgot into a post-match Cross Armbreaker, however, Jack Swagger emerged, leading to a face-off between the titleholder and Colter’s former protégé.

Exclusive interview: Batista discusses “Spectre,” Daniel Craig’s punching prowess and his WWE future

When he last appeared in a WWE ring, Batista made a brash decision about his future in sports-entertainment. Frustrated from the icy reception the WWE Universe had given his return run, The Animal handed in his resignation.
Luckily for the six-time World Champion, another door opened just as he decided to close one in WWE. Behind that door was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: create a signature role in an iconic film series that’s best summed up in three simple words: Bond. James Bond.
The Animal brings a brand-new Bond henchman to life in the film’s latest installment, “Spectre,” which is now playing in theaters worldwide. WWE.com caught up with Batista to discuss his first foray as a Bond villain, his future plans with WWE and the punch from Daniel Craig that nearly broke his nose.
WWE.COM: Could you tell us a little bit about Hinx, the character you play in “Spectre”?
BATISTA: My character is a very classic style henchman. It was intentionally done so he would be just a really bada**, silent, classic Bond style henchman with his “special talent,” so to speak.
WWE.COM: Obviously, the role was written a certain way, but you also were bringing something to the character. How did you go about creating Hinx?
BATISTA: It was weird, man. When I first got the script, which was well after I got the part, my character wasn’t really defined. He doesn't read on page. He's usually described as “Hinx enters. Trouble ensues.” I mean, that was pretty much the description. So they wanted me for this role and somewhat designed it around me, which is a pretty cool thing. I mean, [“Spectre” director] Sam Mendes had an idea in his head. When he met me, when we talked about the character, we really developed it toward my strengths. The character doesn't really express himself verbally. So it's a lot of thoughts. It's a lot of body language. It's a lot of demeanor and facials to create a mindset for this character.
WWE.COM: Did you find yourself bringing in any of your old WWE mannerisms or influences into that mindset?
BATISTA: Not intentionally. I remember [Jim Ross] saying way back when I was in OVW, “Your face is where you make your money." I always took that to heart and it was something I always worked on. I always had really good relationships with the WWE cameramen. I knew to make sure they'd find me and I'd find them, and they'd see the look on my face and that would tell a whole story. So, I think it was a talent I developed over the years, but I didn't intentionally bring it. I think it was already there. I think it's part of why I got the job.

Hilarious John Cena signs taking over ESPN ‘College GameDay’

Every year, NFL football dominates the airwaves in the fall and winter months. Saturdays, however, belong to NCAA FBS football, where elite college players and future NFL stars take the gridiron. When it comes to college football, it doesn’t matter which team or conference you support, there is one constant — ESPN “College GameDay.”
Two things set “College GameDay” apart from other sports news shows. First, “GameDay” is always shot on location at a specific campus — usually whichever school is in the high-profile game that will be played on ESPN or ABC that evening. The second element that makes “GameDay” stand out is a direct connection to WWE. There is always a huge audience behind the broadcast station and they have some of the funniest and most creative signs outside of Monday Night Raw.
There has been a recent trend on “College GameDay” that only strengthens the bond with WWE. Hilarious signs featuring John Cena have become a staple of the show. Often aimed at the visiting team, the signs range from popular Cena-inspired memes to variations of his popular mottos.

Boogeyman signs WWE Legends contract

As he revealed on Friday via Twitter, The Boogeyman, one of the scariest Superstars to ever set foot in a WWE ring, has signed a WWE Legends contract.
Both through his powerful arsenal and his macabre tactics that included an abnormal affinity for worms, The Boogeyman made quite an impact during his WWE tenure. The creepy competitor terrified opponents in WWE and ECW, which included a heated rivalry with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T that led to a victorious effort for the nightmare-fueled Superstar at WrestleMania 22.
